1955
Agrino was founded in 1955 in Agrinion, in Western Greece, by the brother Evstratios, Evthimios and Georgios Pistiolas.
1970
Since the 70s the classic rice range consists of all Greek white rice varieties, as well as the first Greek parboiled rice in the market.
1980
Agrino holds first place in the greek consumers' preferences since the 80s.
1993
The company enters the pulses market and is the first in Greece to pack these products in square bottom pack with easy open.
1998
With the finalization of the 2nd state-of-the-art factory in Thessaloniki, Agrino significantly increases its production capacity.
2001
The company obtains ISO 9002 and HACCP certificates for all installations from TÜV Germany.
2002
During this year, Agrino received ACCI's "Best Branded Product" award in Greece, as well as SIAL's "Best Greek Product" award for the Agrino Specialités range, based on its quality and commercial success.
2006
Agrino is the first company to launch an origin certified pulses products, with the Giant-Elephant Beans PGI from Kastoria. The same year the first Greek quick cooking rice was launched.
2007
Agrino is the first company to apply the principles of Good Agricultural Practice to the cultivation of Greek rice and pulses and to write the name of the grower and the cultivation area on the packaging.
2012
The new product range Agrino Bistro, semi-ready gourmet rice dishes, are successfully received in the market.
2015
The corporate identity, the logo and all packages are renewed.
2015
Agrino Brown Family, the only complete range of wholegrain rice, for every recipe type.
2016
The Bistro range is expanded with risotti with exclusive Greek products, such as bottarga and wild mushrooms
2017
Agrino receives the Self Service Excellence Award for the succesfull launching of the Agrino Brown Family range.
2019
In April 2019 the Agrino Rice Cakes are launched which become the market leader within a few months.

A JOURNEY BASED ON VALUES

Agrino is a greek company with more than 65 years of experience in the rice business and over 20 years in pulses. Agrino may have started out as a company strictly dedicated to grains, this did not withhold the company from renewal in every possible way. Agrino's vision has always been to offer consumers products that are safe, healthy, of stable quality, with nutritional value, mainly cultivated in Greece, with respect towards the environment and the traditional cultivation techniques.

The essence of Agrino's technological innovation is firstly the development of a cooperation model with the Greek farmers, which promotes the sustainability of their cultivation methods, but also the support to Greece's rural areas and economies, thus contributing to the development of these regions.

BUILDING QUALITY RELATIONS

Our focus is on Greek cultivations, sustainable production processes and close cooperation with the farmers who apply precision agriculture. Given that Greece, due to its limited size but rich biodiversity, has a tradition in producing quality rather than quantity, Agrino has dedicated itself to supporting quality. 20% of Greece's rice production is absorbed by Agrino, and Agrino has managed this 20% to be cultivated as per the international standard called GLOBALGAP (global good agricultural practice). GLOBALGAP ensures safe products, sustainable production methods, recorded cultivation, absence of pesticide residues, wellbeing and safety of growers, traceability and protection of the environment.

Με το «Πρότυπο ETHOS» Gold βραβεύτηκε η Agrino για τη συμμόρφωσή της στις απαιτήσεις του εν λόγω πρωτόκολλου Εταιρικής Κοινωνικής Ευθύνης, που έχει εκπονηθεί από τον 100% ελληνικό φορέα πιστοποίησης, τη EUROCERT σε συνεργασία με το δίκτυο CSR Hellas, και σχετίζεται με τους 17 κεντρικούς στόχους του ΟΗΕ, όπως έχουν χαρακτηριστεί στο UN GLOBAL COΜPACT.

Ανάμεσα σε πλήθος εταιρειών από ένα ευρύ επιχειρηματικό φάσμα, η AGRINO κατάφερε να κατακτήσει την υψηλότερη διάκριση στην κατηγορία “Food” και να αποσπάσει το Χρυσό Βραβείο για το Συνολικό Branding και τον επανασχεδιασμό της ταυτότητας και των συσκευασιών των οσπρίων της, που φέρουν την υπογραφή της MILK Branding Professionals, στo πλαίσιo του Διαγωνισμού Packaging Awards ‘20. Είναι το 2ο συνεχόμενο χρυσό βραβείο για την εταιρία στα Packaging Awards, μιας και πέρυσι η AGRINO κατάφερε να κατακτήσει το βραβείο GOLD για το συνολικό branding και το σχεδιασμό των συσκευασιών της σειράς Ρυζογκοφρετών της, στα Packaging Innovation Awards 2019.
